Bisket Jatra (11ᵗʰ to 18ᵗʰ April)


Bisket Jatra, Bhaktapur's weeklong celebration denote the antiquated sun powered Nava Barsha (New Year) and is the main celebration that does not take after the lunar-based Nepali timetable. The Bhaktapur Metropolitan Police Range is set to assemble more than 1,000 security work force for tranquil festival of the Bisket Jatra, which is set apart as the begin of Nepali New Year by local people of Bhaktapur.
As per Superintendent of Police (SP) Kiran Rana, security faculty including those of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are to be assembled to keep up lawfulness for the celebration.

Police would likewise be activated in civvies, SP Rana shared.
Lights and CCTVs have been introduced in lanes of the city to investigate raucous conduct, he stated, including that stern move would be made against the rapscallions.

Additionally, as a piece of the planning, the development of 35-feet high wooden chariot of Bhairavnath has started while the chariot of Bhadrakali has as of now been manufactured.
